The Meijo Asian Research Center (MARC) is established in Meijo University. Mr. Yasushi Akashi, a former United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations and Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, become honorary director of MARC. MARC is operated by an administration policy meeting and steering committee, headed by the director of MARC.

The members of MARC consist of each member of the steering committee, a representative of each faculty, and faculty members at Meijo University who share an interest in Asia-centered research. The research system is composed of a project unit, and researchers in other institutes and postgraduates who engage in research in Asia-centered research may register as assistant researchers.

Facilities MARC is located on the first floor of Tempaku Building No.10. The MARC facilities include an administrative office with a library and study room, as well as a research room, which is available for the research fellows and co-researchers of research projects selected by MARC inside and outside the country.
